In charge of the world

If I was in charge of the world
I wouldn’t allow tattoos,
nose rings or leggings,
and anyone who dropped litter
would be put in giant waste bins.
Red wine would be available
on the National Health,
and my poetry book would
sit on every book shop shelf.

On a more serious note
weapons would be banned,
so there’d be peace in every land.
We’d respect each other’s creeds,
and there’d be food and water
for everyone’s needs.

If I was in charge the world
would be a much better place
full of love and hugs
and no one would use the word hate.
